Homeowners; The following is considered when accepting a project: 1) Household Income; 2) Urgency of the project; 3) Willingness of homeowners to get involved as volunteer or financial contributor; 4) Located in Upper Valley - call to confirm service in your area; 5) Are repairs feasible with volunteer labor.

Description

Provides trained staff with crews of volunteers to work in partnership with low income homeowners to provide urgently needed general carpentry repairs on homes, i.e. roof repair, accessibility ramp construction/installation, and floor repair. Homeowners must meet additional program criteria, including work involvement, and project must be appropriate for volunteers. Repair crews work on weekends. Call to confirm service in your area.

COVER is a non-profit that provides home repair and weatherization services to low-income residents of the Upper Valley. COVER Home Repair recruits volunteers to work in partnership with homeowners and professional staff to address the most urgent home repair and accessibility needs. The COVER Store Reuse Program diverts reusable building materials and household items from the waste stream and then offers affordable and/or free materials to the community through The COVER Store.
