Adults Age 18 and Older; Practicing artists with an ongoing history of producing a body of work in a craft discipline or disciplines; artists must have been living and working in the U.S. or U.S. Territories for the past two years. Additionally, they should not have received a Get Ready Grant in the previous year.

Provides awards of up to $1000 to individual artists working in craft disciplines to conduct activities that will help safeguard their studios, protect their careers, and prepare for emergencies. Eligible activities include studio safeguards, emergency/disaster readiness, business protection and support, and practice protection. Artists are encouraged to use the CERF+ Risk Assessment activity (listed under Studio Protector on the website) to generate ideas and review recommended activities in the Get Ready and Studio Safety sections of its website. Projects that focus on producing artwork, enhancing the artistic capabilities of the applicant, or the marketing and sales of the applicant’s artwork are not eligible.
