Description

Provides a voluntary program for youth who have received a civil violation for underage drinking or possession of alcohol, or a civil violation for possession of less than one ounce of marijuana. The program consists of a substance abuse assessment, screening, an education program, and community service.

Addison County Restorative Justice Services, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Circles of Support and Accountability, Pretrial Services, Family Conferencing, Community Mentor, Victim Services, and the Youth Substance Abuse Safety Program.
