Designed to support active military, veterans, and families of military/veterans with confidential, trauma-informed mental health care, provided by clinicians who understand the unique challenges faced by those who have served, including PTSD, transition stress, and substance use. Services include individual counseling, crisis intervention, care management, and support to find additional community resources.

Howard Center is a nonprofit mental health agency, the designated agency for Chittenden County. It provides acute and long-term care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and other mental health issues, substance use disorders, and/or developmental challenges. Services include emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents, and their families; substance use disorder treatment services in Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties; alternative education programs; and community-based developmental services.
