The Community Mental Health Division offers comprehensive outpatient mental health services, community outreach, and home- and community-based interventions for children, youth, adults, and families. Services span the full continuum of care, from early identification and support for children and adolescents to the highest level of wraparound treatment through Intensive Adult Services. Programs focus on crisis de-escalation, clinical intervention, symptom reduction, and long-term recovery using a trauma-informed, person-centered approach. The division also provides supported living environments for individuals receiving Intensive Adult Services, promoting stability, independence, and ongoing mental health recovery.

NORTHWESTERN COUNSELING AND SUPPORT SERVICES
Northwestern Counseling and Support Services (NCSS) is the designated community mental health agency for Franklin and Grand Isle Counties under contract with Vermont Department of Mental Health to provide acute and long-term behavioral health care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and other mental health problems, substance abuse and/or developmental challenges. NCSS provides emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents and their families, as well as substance abuse treatment services and also operates a parent child center. They provide integrated health services as they embed clinicians in local primary care offices as well as within law enforcement.
