Description

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Offers USDA food commodities, 3SquaresVT application assistance, and seasonal Farm to Family coupons. Farm to Family coupons can be used at farmers markets and farm stands. Provides Thanksgiving meal shopping and issues tickets for shoppers to come back on a date close to Thanksgiving to pick up whole turkeys. Also provides Christmas meal shopping but does not offer turkeys. Farm to Family Coupon Application and Distribution (First come, first served): Starts in July. Coupons can only be redeemed at staffed farmstands, coupons can not be left at unstaffed farmstands that use a drop box. People who are unhoused or who live in a place without an oven may be able to receive a fully cooked turkey for Thanksgiving. Contact BROC at 802-775-0878 for more details.
