Description

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations.Offers USDA food commodities, 3SquaresVT application assistance, and seasonal Farm to Family coupons. Farm to Family coupons can be used at farmers markets and farm stands.Also offers diapers. Provides Thanksgiving baskets of sides for the meal and a voucher to purchase a turkey. Also offers a cooked take-out Thanksgiving meal with turkey and all the trimmings. Farm to Family Coupon Application and Distribution (First come, first served): Starts in July. Coupons can only be redeemed at staffed farmstands, coupons can not be left at unstaffed farmstands that use a drop box.

BROC Community Action is a low-income advocacy and services organization serving Rutland and Bennington counties. Programs include family stabilization and development; education, training and job creation; affordable housing, and energy conservation.
