HOSPICE CARE VOLUNTEER SERVICES | BRATTLEBORO AREA HOSPICE
Provides trained volunteers who offer non-medical assistance to hospice patients and their families. Assistance includes companionship, personal care, assistance with daily living, transportation. Additional services include provision of vigil sitters who provide a loving presence during the last days of life, respite for caregivers, and bereavement follow-up support. Program is for people with progressive endstage illness and a prognosis of up to two years. Clients may choose to continue aggressive medical therapies.
