Description

Offers outpatient and intensive outpatient substance use disorder programs, including screening and evaluation, counseling, support groups, and therapy. The program also offers substance abuse prevention and education services in the community and consults with local agencies and schools. The Substance Abuse Receiving Center provides after-hour services for those who are chemically impaired or intoxicated and in need of evaluation, temporary placement, and referral. Also provides harm reduction kits that include Narcan, Fentanyl test strips, and a CPR mouth shield. Harm reduction kits are in the lobby at Ledge Hill Drive.

United Counseling Services is the designated community mental health agency for Bennington County under contract with Vermont Department of Mental Health Mental Health Services to provide acute and long-term behavioral health care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and other mental health problems. UCS provides behavioral health care services and substance abuse treatment, including emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents and their families.
