Residents of Bakersfield, East Fairfield, and Fairfield are eligible for Food Shelf Items and Thanksgiving Baskets.

Description

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Also offers USDA commodities. Offers guidance and assistance with nutrition and meal preparation. Provides home delivery of pantry items to qualifying individuals. Also offers a Thanksgiving basket that includes turkey and some sides. Food donations accepted during Food Shelf hours or by appointment. Prior notice needed for home delivery. 2025 Thanksgiving Basket Program: Sign up by Monday, November 17, 2025; Pick Up: Saturday, November 22, 2025; 10:00am-12noon.
