Description

Provides drop-in parent-child interactive play programs with parent education and support, including Family Play Program with ESL classes for caregivers, projects to promote cross-cultural relationships, and a summer gardening/outdoor education component. Others include Early Months, for mothers and babies during the first few months after birth and Crawlers, Waddlers & Toddlers, for parents and early toddlers. Parenting classes are periodically offered. Additional workshops for adults also are available, including occasional computer literacy classes. Provides snacks and lunch. Workshops for adults include cooking, movement, and book group. Special activities for children include sing-a-longs, story time, nature play, sandbox, and movement. The Family Room also provides a preschool during the school year.

Family Room programs include parent education and support services, Dad's Night, Crawlers Waddlers and Toddlers, Super Group, Family Play, Parents in Recovery Group, Early Months (Baby Massage), Dad's Drop In, Case Management, Computer Literacy, Preschool, Healthy Families from the Start, and Home Visiting.
