Description

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Also offers food vouchers in the form of Farm to Family coupons that can be used to purchase produce at participating farmers markets and farm stands. Farm to Family Coupon Application and Distribution available (First come, first served) the first week day in July. Coupons can only be redeemed at staffed farmstands, coupons can not be left at unstaffed farmstands that utilize a drop box.

Capstone Community Action is a regional community action agency that provides a continuum of case management services, advocacy and assistance to help move families, in over 56 towns located primarily in Washington, Lamoille and Orange Counties, from anti-poverty to self-sufficiency. Programs and services include case management and advocacy, Early Head Start/Head Start, food programs, homelessness prevention, transportation assistance, emergency fuel assistance, weatherization information and assistance, small business development, individual development accounts, and tax preparation assistance.
