CONSUMER AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION | VPIRG

Educates the public about alternative, renewable energy sources, promotes investment in clean, safe renewable energy, and works to reduce toxic threats to the environment and human health throughout the state. VPIRG is also the lead advocacy agency for accuracy in labeling, requiring clear and specific disclosure of all ingredients, including genetically modified organisms (GMOs), that go into the production of food being sold in Vermont. VPIRG also promotes access to quality health care for all Vermonters and works to increase representation of the public interest in the political process.
