Offers a home-based and neighborhood-centered youth development program designed to support family life, develop physical and mental skills, and encourage cooperation. Boys and girls become members of a den, which is usually led by a parent. Dens meet on a regular basis and earn awards through their achievements and activities, including sports, games, outdoor adventure, and life skills.

Green Mountain Council / Boy Scouts of America is a non-profit youth development organization for boys and girls ages 5-20 years. Cub Scouts is a family program designed for boys and girls 5-10 years of age. Scouts BSA is for boy troops and girl troops made up of youth 11-17 years of ages. Venturing and Exploring are offered as co-ed programs for youth ages 14-20 years in Vermont. Scouting programs provide opportunities to develop individual and group initiative and responsibility; to develop moral and ethical values of character; and to promote citizenship and personal fitness habits in a wide range of organized recreational, educational, and civic activities.
