VERMONT VETERAN ASSISTANCE FUND | VERMONT OFFICE OF VETERANS AFFAIRS

Provides temporary financial assistance to pay for a critical life need. Must show that without financial assistance serious risk or harm will result, and that other benefit programs would not better address the hardship. Applicants may receive assistance a maximum of two times and, if approved, must wait at least one year before applying again.

VERMONT OFFICE OF VETERANS AFFAIRS

Vermont Office of Veterans Affairs is a state government organization that administers a variety of programs for Vermont veterans. Programs include benefits assistance, military records, Vermont Veterans Memorial Cemetery and burial assistance, Vermont Veterans Medal and Vermont Distinguished Service Medal, high school diplomas for veterans, Vermont Veteran Assistance Fund, and Air Forces Scholarship. The Vermont Office of Veterans Affairs is the state approving agency for schools and colleges accepting veterans on the GI Bill.
