Provides temporary financial assistance to pay for a critical life need. Must show that without financial assistance serious risk or harm will result, and that other benefit programs would not better address the hardship. Applicants may receive assistance a maximum of two times and, if approved, must wait at least one year before applying again.

Vermont Office of Veterans Affairs is a state government organization that administers a variety of programs for Vermont veterans.
