EMERGENCY SERVICES | UNITED COUNSELING SERVICE OF BENNINGTON COUNTY

Provides telephone and face-to-face crisis intervention services for individuals whose emotional distress may range in severity from difficulty in coping with daily stress to the crisis of a psychotic episode. Enhanced Mobile Crisis Services provide rapid mobile response for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. A trained 2-person team can meet the individual at home, workplace, or another community setting, providing support and comfort including safety plans, peer support, care coordination and follow up and, if needed, temporary overnight accommodation. Offers a youth crisis hotline, with an option of home visits. Batelle House provides crisis stabilization services for adults when screened through the Emergency Services programs. Also provides PUCK (Psychiatric Urgent Care for Kids), providing a safe alternative to the Emergency Department for youth experiencing a mental health crisis.

UNITED COUNSELING SERVICE OF BENNINGTON COUNTY

United Counseling Services is the designated community mental health agency for Bennington County under contract with Vermont Department of Mental Health Mental Health Services to provide acute and long-term behavioral health care services to people with a wide range of emotional, behavioral and other mental health problems. UCS provides behavioral health care services and substance abuse treatment, including emergency and crisis intervention services for adults, children, adolescents and their families.
