SEVCA’s Family Services team is often the first point of contact when crisis strikes. Meets people with empathy and practical tools, offering one-on-one problem-solving to meet urgent needs while planting seeds for long-term stability. What We Do: • Prevent utility shutoffs and restore heat and electricity • Stabilize housing by providing emergency rental and back rent assistance • Support flood recovery and disaster response • Help unhoused families and individuals move into permanent housing • Community Resource and Food navigation and • Application support.

SEVCA (Southeastern Vermont Community Action) is a regional community action agency that provides a variety of core services in the two-county communities it serves, including emergency support and assistance for low-income families and individuals in crisis. Other services include case management services, emergency fuel assistance, homeless prevention assistance, weatherization, emergency home repair, small business development, budget counseling, income tax preparation, and Windsor County Head Start programs.
