PEDIATRIC PALLIATIVE CARE PROGRAM | VERMONT DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH - FAMILY AND CHILD HEALTH DIVISION
Provides care coordination and family training on palliative care principals, medical treatment regimens, medical equipment use, how to provide in-home care, and expressive therapies (art, music, and play). Pediatric palliative care may also include skilled respite and family grief counseling/bereavement counseling, both during the patient's life and for up to six months in the event of the patient's death. Pediatric Palliative Care services are provided regionally by Vermont's Visiting Nurse Associations, Home Health & Hospice Agencies, and other primary providers.
