Offers specialized information and referral to resources about living with ALS, including disability benefits and rights, insurance information, and home modification; ALS Equipment Loan Program focused on mobility, activities of daily living, and augmentative communication needs; supports for newly diagnosed persons and caregivers; grants for medically necessary items, home modifications and respite care not covered by insurance; advocacy and education conferences; materials for professionals; and a newsletter. Equipment Loans: Monday-Friday: 9:00am-5:00pm; Days and Hours Vary for other services. Summer hours (Close at 3 pm on Fridays from Memorial Day to Labor Day)

The ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) Association Northern New England Chapter is a non-profit, voluntary health agency that provides patient services and programs, and works to increase awareness about ALS (commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease). Patient services include information and referral, patient support, education resources, support groups, equipment loan closet, care connection program, and bereavement follow-up. The ALS Association serves all of United States, including all of Vermont.
