Offers a diversion-like program that connects participants with substance use, mental health, and other community based service supports, regardless of the participants criminal history, with the aim of improving the person's health and reducing future adverse involvement in the justice system. Successful completion of program results in a dismissal of the criminal charge. Fee reduction available on a case-by-case basis

RUTLAND COUNTY RESTORATIVE JUSTICE CENTER

Rutland County Restorative Justice, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict in Rutland County. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Pretrial Services, Victim Services, Driving With License Suspended program, and the BARJ (Balanced and Restorative Justice) and YSASP (Youth Substance Abuse Safety Program) youth programs.
