Types of assistance include emotional support, safety planning, referrals to other organizations, systems advocacy, and limited financial assistance.

Burlington Community Justice Center, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict for the city of Burlington. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Conflict Assistance, Community Dialogue, Education and Crime Prevention, as well as Victim Support Services.
