VERMONT AGENCY OF HUMAN SERVICES
The Vermont Agency of Human Services (AHS) is the umbrella organization for all human service activities within the state government. Its mission is to improve the conditions and well-being of Vermonters and protect those who cannot protect themselves through the services of its departments, all of which are included as separate agencies in the Vermont 211 database. Departments under AHS are: Department for Children and Families (DCF), Department of Corrections (DOC), Department of Aging and Independent Living (DAIL), Vermont Department of Health (VDH), Department of Mental Health (DMH), and Department of Vermont Health Access (DVHA).
