CHILD PROTECTION TEAMS | KIDSAFE COLLABORATIVE
Reviews and coordinates interventions and treatment for families with complex issues as referred by community agencies due to evidence of child sexual abuse, physical abuse, or child neglect. Brings together family members and staff from the area's child and family service agencies to gain a better understanding of the family's needs, to identify a case manager, and to reduce barriers in order to increase access to services and supports. Among the agencies that serve on the team are Burlington Housing Authority, COTS, Howard Center, LUND, Steps to End Domestic Violence, Vermont Department of Health, Vermont Department for Children and Families, and others.

KIDSAFE COLLABORATIVE
KidSafe Collaborative is a non-profit child advocacy initiative addressing the problems of child abuse and neglect in Chittenden County by facilitating collaboration among public and private organizations to improve outcomes for children and families. KidSafe Collaborative also convenes a multi-disciplinary group that coordinates service for pregnant and postpartum women with opiate use disorder in Chittenden, Franklin, and Grand Isle Counties.
