COMMUNITY KITCHEN ACADEMY | CAPSTONE COMMUNITY ACTION
Offers a full-time job training program in which participants learn the skills necessary for a job in the culinary industry. Training program offers hands-on experience. Participants can earn attendance bonuses, job placement support, and possible college credits. Lamoille County residents interested in enrolling in the program who need transportation assistance should contact Lamoille County United Way, (802) 888-3252. If there is enough interest in this training program, the United Way will support transportation for attendance. Program is offered in partnership with Vermont Foodbank.

Capstone Community Action is a regional community action agency that provides a continuum of case management services, advocacy and assistance to help move families, in over 56 towns located primarily in Washington, Lamoille and Orange Counties, from anti-poverty to self-sufficiency. programs and services include case management and advocacy, Early Head Start/Head Start, food programs, homelessness prevention, transportation assistance, emergency fuel assistance, weatherization information and assistance, small business development, individual development accounts, and tax preparation assistance.
