Provides community food shelf services. Also provides seasonal Farm to Family coupons and free seed packets for summer garden plantings. Partners with Vermont FoodBank to provide the Vermont Fresh program, providing nutrition/cooking education and fresh produce at the food shelf. Also offers a Thanksgiving Basket with ingredients for the holiday dinner.

NEKCA (Northeast Kingdom Community Action) is a regional community action agency that provides low-income residents in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties with a continuum of case management services, advocacy, and assistance services to support economic independence. Community services include emergency food shelves; emergency fuel assistance; homeless service; homelessness prevention; free tax filing assistance; budget counseling; holiday assistance, as well as youth services.
